Why we're asking you to sign up first

Because of Ms. Li's long tenure as a teacher, Dynasty Century Palace Restaurant can only seat about one table of ten per graduating year. To make sure every era of Ms. Li's students gets fair representation, we're collecting interest sign-ups before sending final invitations. Signing up doesn't guarantee a seat, but it's the best way to let us know you'd like to be notified when we do start selling tickets.

Takes under a minute. If space in your graduating year fills up, we'll add you to a waitlist, and you may still get to share a table with another year that didn't fill up, or one of the spare extra tables if we find that we don't need it.

This sign-up is for former students of Ms. Li's, since seating is organized by graduating year. Were you a colleague, staff member, or friend of hers? We'd still love to include you! Please contact the planning committee directly at (info@msliretirement.ca) instead of using this form.

FAQ

Good to know

Does signing up guarantee me a seat?

No, and it also does not commit you to attending. Due to our limit of one table per year with a handful of tables left over, we need to carefully plan our layout to ensure fairness. We may be able to open up more tables with a mix of years, or seat some people in a different year that did not fill up. Make sure you sign up to help us gauge interest.

What happens if my graduating year fills up?

Most likely you will end up on a waitlist for a shared table across nearby years. We may also be able to offer another way to be part of the evening.

Can I bring a guest?

We kindly ask that students do not bring +1s. With roughly 50 students in most graduating years and only one table of ten available per year, keeping this to former students helps us seat as many classmates as possible.

I wasn't a student of hers. Can I still attend?

This sign-up form is specifically for former students. If you were a colleague, staff member, friend of Ms. Li, or otherwise believe you have a close enough connection to be included please reach out directly at (email TBA) and we'll do our best to include you.

Is there a cost to attend?

Yes, likely in the ballpark of $75 per person. We will strive to keep this as affordable as possible without sacrificing the quality of the event. We don't have all our costs figured out yet.

Who do I contact with questions?

You can reach the planning committee by email (info@msliretirement.ca).
